About Willow
Willow is an incredibly special part of our Krazy Island family! She is the daughter of our sweet Karma and a handsome California stud named Hillsides Golden Blitz. We actually kept two girls from that very first California litter—Willow and her sister, Echo—and it is so fun to see how two sisters can look so completely different from one another. Willow is a gorgeous Liver and White, a title she earned thanks to a small flash of white on her chest the day she was born. Her coat has cleared from a deep chocolate birth color into a sophisticated, multi-tonal parchment and silver-taupe shade. As a Dominant Black on a liver base, she possesses the rich brown “liver points” (nose and eye rims) that define her type. Carrying the piebald gene, she is a versatile and beautiful representative of her lineage.
Beyond her beautiful coloring, Willow is a super affectionate bundle of love. She is a fantastic mom who doesn’t just raise her babies; she continues to care for and play with her puppies long past weaning, right up until the day they go to their forever families. She absolutely loves being picked up and held, especially if it means she gets to give you lots and lots of kisses! She gives rapid-fire licking kisses with a lightning-fast tongue unlike any other dog we have ever seen—you have to be careful, or she will sneak a super-fast kiss right into your mouth or straight up your nose! Her most adorable quirk? She follows me around everywhere I go, constantly “booping” me on the calves with her little liver nose over and over again just to let me know she is right there with me.
